The E-Z-GO® Legacy

E-Z-GO® was the dream of two brothers who wanted to build a vehicle that would improve the riding experience on the fairway and exceed the expectations of their customers. The company started out in a one-room machine shop in Augusta, Georgia, but its quick success soon led to a growing customer base. In 1960, E-Z-GO® was acquired by Textron Inc., a worldwide multi-industry company that has put considerable effort into preventing pollution and following environmentally safe practices. Nowadays, E-Z-GO® golf carts are designed and produced by a subdivision called Textron Specialized Vehicle.

E-Z-GO® is headquartered in Augusta, Georgia, where it manufactures its industry-leading models with features like parking brakes that engage automatically at a stop. These innovations led to the company getting the Shingo Prize for Operational Excellence in 2009 and having their facility chosen as one of Industry Week magazine’s top ten manufacturing plants in North America.
